In the Tribune this week: a fixture in Calistoga since the 1950s, the annual Halloween Parade has been cancelled this year, the reasons are unclear although organizers promise to bring it back in 2024.  Celebrate Napa Valley will put its resources into its Second Annual Harvest Fair at Pioneer Park on Sat., Oct. 28. Also that Saturday, across the footbridge, Calistoga PD will host a Trunk or Treat event in their parking lot. Also, a 35-home subdivision – one of the largest in decades – is entering the approval process. Finally, as the council awaits the outcome of an investigation into the behavior of City Manager Laura Snideman, vacancies mount among key executive positions.
