This week in the Tribune, we report about the City Council’s reconsidering its decision to withdraw roughly $50,000 of financial support to the Teen Center. The move came after hundreds of concerned citizens gathered at the Community Center during Tuesday’s meeting to show support for the youth program.

Also this week, the council voted to further explore the possibility of allowing the Tacos La Fiesta food truck to operate on a private parking lot near Lincoln Avenue and Highway 128 following its issues at two other locations. Allowing food trucks to operate in the area zoned as ‘downtown’ would be a change in the ordinance the council adopted last year.

And, locals share fond memories of the Calistoga Wine Stop, one of Napa Valley’s longest-operating wine stores. Owned and operated by the Pelter family for 38 years, the business will close its doors on May 31.
