This week in the Tribune, ahead of the Nov. 5 election, learn what the three City Council candidates competing for two seats had to say about key Calistoga issues during the Tuesday forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Napa County.

Also, read about the new contract between the city of Calistoga and BrightView Landscape Services for maintenance and repairs at the Fairgrounds property. The work is set to begin on Dec. 1 and in the first year, will cost the city as much as $506,600 to perform general maintenance and also to repair the property’s irrigation system and remove dozens of trees that pose safety risks.

Plus, learn about a new exhibit from Mexican-born Napa artist Israel Valencia currently on display at the Napa County Library. Valencia used a chlorophyll printing process to print photographs on grape leaves as a way to acknowledge and explore the contributions of Oaxaca, Mexico’s Indigenous community to the Napa Valley wine industry. The exhibition was funded by a grant received through the Arts Council Napa Valley Community Fund.
